iCrypto has a swap built in, powered by the 0x DEX aggregator. It routes your trade across on-chain liquidity and executes it directly from your own wallet, signed by your own keys. There is no deposit to an exchange and no custody transfer: the tokens move from your wallet to the token you asked for, and back to your wallet, on the same chain. This guide covers the steps and the three costs that decide what you actually receive — the iCrypto fee, network gas, and slippage.
Three things sit between the headline rate and the amount that lands in your wallet. Read the quote with all three in mind.
| Cost | Who charges it | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| iCrypto swap fee | iCrypto | A flat 0.25-0.35% of the swap, shown in the quote. |
| Network gas | The blockchain | The fee to include your transaction on-chain, paid in the chain's native coin. Varies with network demand. |
| Slippage | The market | The gap between the quoted price and the executed price if liquidity moves before your trade settles. |
iCrypto charges 0.25-0.35% on a swap. This is separate from, and on top of, the network gas fee. It is displayed in the quote before you sign, so you see the effect on your received amount in advance.
Every on-chain swap pays gas to the network, in the chain's native coin. Gas is not set by iCrypto and rises and falls with network congestion. Keep enough of the native coin spare to cover it; a swap cannot settle if you cannot pay gas.
Slippage is the difference between the price you were quoted and the price you actually get, caused by liquidity shifting between quote and settlement. A slippage tolerance sets the worst rate you will accept: too tight and a moving market can cause the swap to fail; too loose and you may receive noticeably less than quoted. On thin liquidity or large orders, expect more slippage and set the tolerance deliberately.
The swap is built into iCrypto and powered by the 0x DEX aggregator, which sources on-chain liquidity. The trade executes directly from your wallet — iCrypto does not hold your funds.
A 0.25-0.35% iCrypto swap fee, plus the network's gas fee. Slippage can also affect the amount received depending on market conditions.
The built-in swap exchanges tokens on the same chain. Choose both tokens on the chain you are trading.
No. The swap is signed by your keys and broadcast from your wallet. Your funds never pass through an iCrypto-held account.
